Once, this was a little page about configuring a Cisco 2514 for DSL-Lines using PPPOE. Here the message: Yes, you can use PPPOE on a 2514, load an IP PLUS Image and it will work just fine.
After replacing the 2514 with a 2610(PPPOE is officially supported with it) everything was fine for quite some time, but then 10MBit was just to slow and a new Cisco would have been just too expensive. The Solution was an ALIX-Board (from PC Engines) running FreeBSD. I put up some notes about this.
